Soccer Legends for Kids is a great book packed with motivational stories that really grabbed my child's attention. The way it highlights 20 famous players and their journeys—full of hard work, setbacks, and comebacks—makes it both entertaining and educational. It’s written in a kid-friendly way that’s easy to understand but still inspiring. Perfect for young readers who love soccer or need a boost of encouragement to chase their own dreams. I liked that the book began with information about the sport of soccer itself before launching into the information about the legends included. Each legend has a picture, a summary of their greatest moments and achievements, and historical information. Some of the legends chosen are well known like Messi, Ronaldo, Pele but several were lesser known player. I learned a lot from reading this book.I think there could be more pictures to help make this book more visually appealling to younger readers.

My grandson is interested in soccer and I got this book to show him that you have to have mental toughness. It has stories of how the soccer legends rose to the top. You need to have the physical ability, along with mental ability to endure soccer as a sport. You also need confidence and resilient to become a great soccer player. My grandson loves this book, especially the stories of the soccer players.
This book is super inspiring! It tells how famous players didn’t give up, even when things got hard. It’s not just about soccer—it’s about working hard and believing in yourself. If you love soccer and need some motivation, this book is perfect!
Got it for my nephew but I actually sunk into it myself. There are fun facts about all the famous soccer playersyou can think of, their history which is always fascinating - their rise to greatness through small (or big) steps, milestones in their career, and life lessons which are insprirational even for grown ups (never give up! I believe in thatwith all my heart). The players cartoons are adorable, with great coloring.I do think Messi should have come first, before Ronaldo but well... for each his own I guess.Great book, captivating for any soccer loving kid.

I purchased this book for the aspiring soccer athletes in our family and overall they have enjoyed it! With stories about the journeys of 20 soccer legends, it is a great read for all ages. My biggest feedback is that it unfortunately only includes the story of one female athlete (Marta the Brazilian soccer star). I think more diversity of the athletes and some additional photographs throughout would really elevate this book.

Liam Cruz's book, Soccer Legends for Kids provides inspiration for the soccer player in your home. The book features stories and histories of 20 of the greatest players in modern history and serves as a touchstone for younger players today. Baseball has it's Hank Arron, (American) football has it's Gale Sayers. Now soccer enthusiasts have 20 heroes in one book to learn about. Good writing and great motivational messages. Good work Liam
